About us

AMC is a real estate development and project management company located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The organization has been involved in prestigious, varied, and notable land development projects from the mountains of British Columbia to the shores of Vancouver, all the way to the beaches of Maui, Hawaii.  

AMC’s role in the land development process is to manage the numerous variables at each stage of the project life cycle. At project inception, AMC will work with the design team to develop early-stage master planning &  design concepts, produce due diligence studies, and create project financial feasibility studies (proforma). AMC will manage all aspects of the entitlement process, from coordinating pre-rezoning submissions through to collecting the development permit. We are experts at negotiating engineering and site-servicing agreements, managing permit applications, negotiating with municipalities and engaging all of the project stakeholders to maintain the unified project vision all while ensuring the project’s financial goals are kept in focus. We will manage the design process to ensure the project documentation is produced to satisfy the vision, both in terms of financial goals and design, working continuously to manage the client’s risk at each stage of the process. AMC’s breadth of knowledge extends through to the selection of general contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants who can provide a standard of quality that equals the high standard of design. 

AMC has over two decades of development experience in all facets of residential and commercial development including hotels, resorts, seniors housing, affordable housing, industrial, condominiums, commercial villages, casinos, townhomes, single family homes and estate lots. Our projects are not predictable, nor are they black and white. They involve exploring paths that are often unfamiliar, where we trailblaze new construction methods and take unique approaches to obtain municipal approvals. There are no instruction manuals or precedents for us to follow, which is why we are often faced with unexpected circumstances in uncharted territories, where we have no choice but to own the grey.

  • Since 2000 Bryan has focused on Resort Development throughout British Columbia and Hawaii. With Intrawest Placemaking Bryan managed the development of Pan Pacific and Four Seasons Hotels in Whistler, BC and Honua Kai on the Island of Maui. Following his time at Intrawest, Bryan was responsible for overseeing the masterplanning and initial phases of development at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Between 2013 to 2019, Bryan was the VP of Development for Parq Vancouver, a $750 Million integrated hotel-casino adjacent to BC Place in downtown Vancouver. More recently, Bryan has been assisting AMC clients in the Okanagan and Vancouver Island with their acquisition and development strategies, including financial modelling and project feasibility assessments.

  • As Intrawest Placemaking’s Land Development Manager, Matt was responsible for planning and executing large scale land development projects in world renowned destination resorts. More recently Matt’s land development expertise has been utilized by Mosaic – one of Western Canada’s largest land holders – at their Jubilee Heights development. Furthermore, Matt worked to develop Parq Vancouver, managing the planning and overseeing the implementation of the resort’s approvals, infrastructure and raw land development requirements. Matt is also currently working with the Society for Christian Care for The Elderly assisting with its Capital Management requirements.

  • As Senior Manager at Ventana Construction, DJ was responsible for planning and executing multi-million dollar construction projects throughout the lower mainland. DJ's role as Director of Development for the $750MM Parq Vancouver project has elevated his skill set to include very large mixed-use projects in downtown Vancouver. Additionally, DJ worked on the 8x on the Park Inc, voted the best new Condo Development of 2016 by the Georgia Straight. Lastly, DJ completed 3 years of work with Brenhill Developments on the 13 story 162 New Jubilee House that won the award for excellence in urban development for non-market housing from the UDIO in 2016.

  • Steve brings over 20 years of construction and development experience to the AMC team. This depth of experience led Steve to being engaged as the Owner’s Construction Manager for the Parq Vancouver development in 2014. As Construction Manager, Steve was involved in the planning and execution of all phases of the development. Particularly focused on cost management, Steve implemented and maintained the cost control mechanisms for the $750MM development budget. Steve continues to offer guidance to clients on a range of project sizes and scopes and on all aspects of the development cycle. Notable current clients include CBRE, TELUS, BC Pavilion Corporation, and Jericho Tennis Club.

  • Brendan brings 20 years of experience in the construction and real estate industries to the table for his clients. This experience has taken him from here in Vancouver to London, UK and back. During his time in London he headed up the cost estimating department for a central London based general contractor and since moving back to Vancouver Brendan has been helping his clients deliver their real estate projects. Currently Brendan is working with the Society for the Christian Care of the Elderly, Hudson Projects, Fabric Living & Paz Fuels.
